An update for CVR donors, volunteers, & prayer supporters

Thank you, CVR donors, volunteers, and prayer supporters!

We have been able to get the Activity Cabin skirted, we have had a great riding mower donated, we have been able to get some repair work done on the 20-year-old roofs to buy us more time before full replacement is required, we have hosted multiple pastors and missionaries, including our now-furthest missionary family from Japan. Also, through continued donor generosity, we upgraded some of the old shelving in the Lodge, and we added a Guest Laundry Room under the amazing direction of the Global Accord volunteers. Also with GA, two trees threatening the Quad family cabins were taken down.

Because of you, we will be able to offer a Marriage Retreat and a low-cost Pastoral Summit this fall. Both of those will become bi-annual events with one each fall and spring.

We have had families in from Ohio, North Carolina, Virginia, and New York, to name a few. The Conformation Point’s Camp Obed counselors held their 20th year reunion at the buildings they helped build. We got many positive comments, none of which would have happened without your willingness to support us as we serve families.

We have been so busy with the turn-arounds on the cabins (which is a great thing!), that a few projects that we had hoped to accomplish haven’t been done, but we have some of the funds (thanks to you!) to have the materials purchased and ready to go. Two of these projects are upgrading the unfinished floors in Cabin 3 as well as the RV-style shower in there and beginning the skirting process on the Quad (we will be closer to winter ready, though we will most likely still need to shut down this upcoming winter due to insulation and pipe moving tasks still needing completed).

Thank you so much for your generosity of time, money, and prayers! Knowing that there are so many of you out there praying for us is such a blessing!

Sorry, comments are closed for this post.
