No two people are closer to each other than when they draw closer to the Lord.

Rustic, romantic, & affordable wedding ceremonies are available at Clear View Retreat

Nestled in the piney woods of Scenic Hill Road up on the Cumberland Plateau, Clear View Retreat provides you with a delightfully warm and cozy wedding setting. Envision the sunlight streaming down through the pines and oaks as you enjoy an outside wedding in our unassuming amphitheater, or imagine the cool of the back deck with the green of the trees, the reflections of candlelight, and the flickering flames of a log stove as you say those vows you have longed to share.

Are you in town for a wedding being held elsewhere, but you want to stay in a CVR cabin? Please click here for more information about accommodations.

I thought CVR only held Family Camps? CVR’s primary mission to family discipleship is through our Family Camps. A strong marriage builds a healthy family. With that in mind, your wedding becomes an opportunity for us to support you on the first day of the rest of your life. Joyfully, we have had folks find us through an overnight stay or a singles’ ministry campout and then decide that CVR was exactly the place for their wedding celebration. Celebrating the splendor and enchantment of marriage is within our mission, though it is not our primary function. Our Executive Director is a commissioned minister (see officiant question below).

What wedding services does CVR provide? You can hold your rehearsal, ceremony, and/or reception with us. You can treat us like a facility rental and handle everything on your own, or you can use our planning services, have us cater your meals, utilize our onsite officiant, and more.

What is the maximum capacity of CVR? You can have up to 44 guests during a wedding ceremony or reception. Overnight accommodations can hold 24 people. Please see the last question below if you have a bigger wedding planned.

How many cabins does CVR offer with a wedding rental? Just like our typical full facility rental, you will have exclusive use of our four family-style cabins and our Lodge as well as our trails and onsite activities.

Does CVR offer an indoor wedding space? If you are having a small wedding, yes. Approximately 18 people will sit nicely in the Lodge living room. For any size group above that, you will need to use the amphitheater or the back deck of the Lodge.

Does CVR offer a covered outdoor space? Yes, the Lodge back deck is covered.

Does CVR offer an uncovered outdoor space? Yes, the amphitheater.

Does CVR have on-site accommodations? Yes, we encourage couples to host their rehearsal dinner at the Lodge the night before their wedding. Afterwards, the wedding party can enjoy a campfire, other onsite activities, or local area attractions.

Number of sleeping cabins? 4

How many overnight guests can CVR accommodate? The family cabins (called the Quad) sleep up to 24 guests.

Where can additional out of town guests stay? In addition to folks staying onsite at CVR, there are two guest houses close by as well as a bed and breakfast. Please contact us for their information.

What is the minimum rental fee for CVR?  A day wedding for up to four hours onsite costs $250; the four hours may fall anytime between 9 am and 3 pm. An evening wedding is $500 due to the inability for us to rent the facility to anyone else overnight. Full overnight facility rental is $500 per night. Additional planning, hosting, officiating, or meal costs are extra.

Is event coordination included in the minimum rental fee? No. Event coordination costs $100.
