Proverbs 24:3-4

Proverbs 24

By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
Proverbs 24:3-4 ESV

Our prayer: As we construct our homes, help us to be mindful that the most beautiful thing we can fill the rooms with is Your love, hope, and joy.

“Good. Better. Best. Never let it rest… until your good is better and your better is best.” I don’t know who wrote that, but I will never forget reading about that concept by Elizabeth George in A Woman After God’s Own Heart. She detailed her journey of good, better, best. As women we desire to create an inviting space, whether at home or work. We desire to be productive. We desire to be useful. We desire to have nice things around us. We desire to enjoy life. As we work hard and play hard, we have to remember to be wise with the blessings we are given. A home, a workshop, or a business is not built in a day. We must plan wisely. We must be diligent, and we must stay focused. Let’s find the ‘good’ of today and work toward the ‘better’ in the weeks and months to come, so that we can discover the ‘best’ for our lives and our families. Be wise, my friends.
